Dam-It Joe's, located at 124 Richard Dr in West Alton, MO, stands out as a barbecue haven for enthusiasts seeking bold flavors and generous portions. This hidden gem, nestled beside a Gas Mart, offers a tantalizing menu that features Midwest staples, including their celebrated burnt ends, only available on Saturdays. Patrons rave about the tender, hand-trimmed brisket and the melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork, which many reviewers like Mark Szwabo enthusiastically claim are among the best they've ever had. The atmosphere may be humble, but the culinary experience is anything but. I try everything here, first just ask them what's good they'll tell you. But this week I got the potatoes and quart of liquid gold they're beans, holy crap, they candy a dessert even, rib tips OmG, pulled pork always great and extra sauce love the sweet n spicy. Really good place and well worth the drive. Really, I mean that. Don't pass it up, you will regret. The only issue not there on Sundays, but God forbid he gets a day off.
So delicious! We had the burnt ends, baked beans, smoked chicken wings and smoked potatoes. You can taste the smoked flavor and the meat is so tender. The wings were beautiful! Nice crisp skin with cracked pepper and glazed. I’ve also had the brisket sandwich and smoked macaroni at an event. All amazing and so yummy!
I have never had a bad meal here. Large portions , reasonable price. Great BBq !
This place has the best BBQ! Loved every bit of it! Bbq tips, pulled pork sandwich and smoked potatoes! Eric was great too
Really good brisket, burnt ends, and wings. It is in a trailer on the side of the road next to a Gas Mart - so don’t expect anything fancy. Just really good smoked meat. Nice guy and he has fantastic taste in music. Recommend for some barbecue. Oh, and the sodas are only 1 so why not?
It's just a food truck, but the quality of the brisket earned the fifth star as it was very well done. I was there later in the day, and it was sold out of a number of items, but I will travel for good brisket
Super tender brisket on my sandwich, Really good flavor. I got the brisket with the little rim of fat, and it was just the right amount. The slices on my sandwich were a nice thick cut and very moist. So good! I got the sweet and spicy sauce, which..... was spicy - for a baby like me. Good coleslaw! I’ve driven by this area many times, never looked to the right as I was passing, so always missed Joe‘s big tent. It’s a stationary food truck (except when they’re out food-trucking, I guess) and they have a big tent with picnic tables in front. Great service and I definitely will be back for more food!
Honestly top notch BBQ! I keep my boat up this way and stop in for takeout as much as I can to feed the crew. Great prices, especially for the quality. Portions won't leave you wanting, Joe's gonna feed ya!
